Seriously they are pissing a lot of people off. I consider it a good thing, thoughts?

it's back up now, but MasterCard is still down.

They just made a lot of powerful enemies.

Seriously though, people overestimate anon waaaay to much. If the USA went ahead and classified them as a "terrorist cell" (which they are) then a few thousand arrests later all the angry teenagers and hackers would learn a hard lesson in reality.

Oh ho ho ho...

Bringing down Gene Simmons and Mastercard is one thing. Pissing the G-Men of is another.

Whats the odds Moot disappears and 4chan is pulled apart?
Then it would just move somewere else. You cant police the internet, everytime you take down one site another spings up elsewere to take it's place.

Man, the world sure is interesting these days. I'm all for Anon, and I'll be watching and waiting to see if they prevail in any way.

Anonymous started out as a nifty thing. Now they just seem to be Project Mayhem wannabes. I don't very much approve, and 4chan is going to get its collective ass kicked sooner or later.

Aren't government websites notoriously shitty since they are just done by the lowest bidder? Christ I've seen websites that cost thousands of euros that were no better than stuff I did for classes.

Looks like Anon is playing a few rounds of Poke the 2,400lb Bear...

Best of luck to those ankle-biters...

EDIT: Now leave me alone!!!

This is what I've been waiting for. Something significant.
Whether there are arrests or more site attacks, anon now has someone's attention. Which means something will happen apart from the trivial web attacks. As for what I hope happens: someone gets arrested. Then anon has to either step up or shut up. And I'm fine either way.

I'm all for them attacking the FBI site, if they have the balls for it. It's entertaining at least.

Either they win, and the goverment gets knocked down a few pegs, or anon gets crushed, and there isn't any mor-

Shit. I'm definitely rooting for anon.

I lolled when they said over 9000...
Heard about this payback thing a while back, it's good that at least some wants to support Assange no matter if he is guilty or not.

OK then.

I'm not siding with your government on this one; the whole obsession with bringing in Assange to be trialled in the US and stuff for what, so far, has essentially been some documents that have left some diplomats and politicians red-faced (people don't like other people they have to work with, shock and awe) is absurd.

Don't even get me started on O'Reilly and Palin wanting him and the soldier who gave Wikileaks the files to be executed (I can't remember who called for which one).

As for Anonymous, maybe they'll be caught, maybe they won't.

Any reason why they took down the FBI website, except to feel smug to themselves that they could do it? Really, what do they think is going on here, this isn't Uplink, all they took down was a public information page and possibly ome recruiting things. Possibly the most boring parts of politics. I'm assuming this has something to do with the Wikileaks thingy I've been hearing about (but not interested enought to care about), but still... Well done Anon, you made some kid hand in their school projct on the FBI a day late.

That said, a terrorist cell (and Anon is much more of a terror cell than some things labled as such) attacking US govornment property, even cyber property, is going to be fun to watch. Especially when they're only armed with harsh language in high pitched voices and startlingly good aim in Counterstrike. This is gonna be good.

Oh Anon, you're so funny. But this time you're not playing with matches inside that grumpy old guys house down the block, now you're playing with matches inside the police station. You may think they don't care, but whoever did it probably has some FBI people watching them very, very closely.

If Anon gets registered as a terrorist group and 4chan is taken down, I just want to say I Fucking called it!

Isn't it great we live in an age where free speech is so openly promoted?

Wow, I'm impressed.

However, I seem to be the only one in my community that has actually been following Wikileaks and Anonymous so I don't think they're getting their message out to the general populace. A display of power on something like Youtube or Facebook would actually get people to pay attention so that they can start dishing out serious damage.
