The first one is better. It's not a voice that you expect a badguy to have (Attack! I saaaaaay attACK!)
Also, the second voice over is very offensive stereotypical of dungeon bosses.

Would have been hell of a lot funnier the second one sounds like every big boss from every big game *yawn*

If you hadn't said homosexual stereotype I would've just appreciated the voice acting without any problems as it sounds like an eccentric crazy guy. Maybe they could get rid of a stereotype by having MORE homosexuals, with varied voices.

Honestly to me it'd be another XT-002. We'd progress upto it, start the fight and then wipe because we're laughing in disbelief at the voice.

It certainly would've been a nice change from the generic demon / dragon voice that some of the later additions suffered slightly for. After two or three dragons they all start to sound a bit samey.

The second one seems much more silly than the first one, the words just don't fit quite as well with the voice actor trying to say them so much more seriously. D=

I get the feeling it's less about "This may be seen as an offensive stereotype" and more "Our game is filled with insecure 13 year-olds."

Agreed on all points. The original voice makes the character far more interesting.

The first very much sounds like a placeholder done by a dev or similar, second sounds like a properly recorded voice for release.

Besides, the way WoW works, you can "patch" in the old sounds if you really wanted to anyway.

The original voice is just hilariously camp - if the boss started making out with other men or whatnot, then it might've been moving more towards "offensive." xD

Either way: WRITHE IN AGONY, OHHOHOHOHOHO!

Umm, is it just me or am I not hearing the homosexual quality of the first voice? It just sounds like some maniacal bad guy to me. It sounds like the same voice actor did both voices, only the first one was higher pitch. They both sound like they had a little lisp, which I guess is considered "gay sounding", but not exclusively.

Oh well, I don't play WoW so I really don't care. I just think this is a total non-issue.

This is about a blizzard game called world of warcraft (I'm sure most have heard of this small mmorpg game)

This is the original voice over of a boss in a new cataclysm raid instance bastion of twilight

this is the recently changed voice over of the same boss

How would you feel if the original voice made it into the game when it was released?

Many will point the original voice over as a homosexual dragon but is that a bad thing? I think they removed the voice because it was a very offensive stereotypical of homosexual people

I would have had no problem seeing voice make it on live but I want other people opinions especially anyone homosexual as this is what appears to be offending and reason for its removal

Is it a bad thing that after playing the first clip, I spent 5 minutes laughing about it?
