Yeah, it could happen. However I think you may have hit enter early...

But it's defiantly a possibility.

I'd think if we die out, there'll be another evolutionary push for supremacy.
Say, there's a nuclear apocalypse.
Among the surviving species are cockroaches.
Giant insects? We had those before, why not again?
Intelligent insectoid life? Possible as well!
Life'll fill the niches again with what's available.
Another option would be creatures from the ocean floor.
There, some animals have developed completely apart from the "surface-world" (some others depend on waste floating downwards), based on geothermal energy (instead of solar).
Squid people? Not that far off, considering they are among the most highly developed invertebrates.
Both of these are more likely, in my mind, than aliens colonizing this world. The distances are just too vast.
But it's still an interesting thought.

Some "scientist" claimed that martians bred with early humans and created asians.

Is it really any wonder I have no faith in scientists and their discoveries?
Uhm, well, there are scientists and then there are hacks.
Considering there were no Martians (apart from possibly some microbes), I wouldn't take this "intergalactic academic" weirdo seriously.

No, but the fact that you get your science news sources from vyuz.com shows that I have no faith in your ability to find a scientific journal.

That's near beautiful. I agree though, I don't think the human race will die out, there are so many back up plans, precautions and strategies to protect people.

Edited for clarity.

It's a funny old theory, one that isn't baseless since in many comets and meteorites scientists have found several amino acids some of which had form into chans of two, three, or four thanks to the force of the impact on the Earths surface. Incidentaly, in Will Wright's life sim 'Spore' that was how life began.

It seems much more likely that in the event of annhialation of the Human race that the other life forms on the planet would evolve into sentient beings than it does that a race of sentient beings evolved on another planet would find Earth after the end of the Human race and decide to move in. For an alien race to do such a thing would require (1) That the Human race be annhialated, and leave behind it a hospitable climate. (2) That a sentient race of aliens discover that Earth is suitable for life. (3) That said sentient aliens actually have some reason for moving to Earth. It just seems a lot less likely than the possibility that creatures left in the wake of Humanity would evolve.

Personally ^^ i think we won't die out so to speak, we will just kill each other, either that or we will pollute our resoucrces beyond recovery

P.S. I cannot get on the forum index o_O comes up with "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24 bytes) in /sixpack/web/global/classes/class.ims_user.inc on line 562" any ideas ^^

Actucally, Scientists(real ones)have proven that in the past, there WAS water on Mars, so it was like Earth. And of course, since water is the stuff of life, they think there use to be "Martians"

Just because there was water and possibly microbes doesn't mean there were sentient or even intelligent lifeforms, Martians in that sense.
I already stated that there might've been microbes in my earlier post (yes, thanks to water), but I've never heard of any serious claims of more highly developed life on Mars.
