Greetings Escapees,

So I just picked up my fourth PS2(kept trading them in D:) and got a copy of Shadow of the Colossus but am wondering what other great games have been missed.

Games I will be getting:
Resident Evil 4
Silent Hill 2
Black
Okami

So what I want are some other great PS2 and PS1 games so I can build my collection.

Haven't there been like 4 of these today?
Anyway, Metal gear solid 3 and 2, Tekken 4, Jak 3 and San andreas are all great.

Hulk: Ultimate Destruction,
TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect,
Beyond Good & Evil,
Jak & Daxter and all sequels (exluding Jak X: Combat Racing),
Burnout Revenge,
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3,
Bully (Canis Canim Edit),
Most if not all GTAs,

I could go on and on.

Is TimeSplitters any good? I bought it & it really doesn't grab me, but I've heard so many good things about it.
Does it get better? I'm not very far in.
1st or 2nd? I know the first had a very poor single player, it was 2 and especially 3 that upped the single player ante. 3 is awesome.

I've played a bit of Timesplitters and it didn't grab me as well, it must be one of those "not for everyone" hits.

1st.
I should probably pick up that second controller.

Yeah, I think Free radical have said they didn't really bother with the single player in the first one, because they were on a deadline to get it out at release. In fact if you were going for single player only I'd say 3 would be your best bet. I preferred 2's multi, but then maybe that's because it was first. It definitely feels a little different though.

Manhunt! It will make you appreciate prisons and mental hospitals. If played alone in a dark room, when your all alone and the brightness set just right you will be scared ... I will refund the cost of the game if your not!

Edit: go and get the rest of the MGS games although (atleast were I live) there a bit tricky to get your hands on.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening was loads of fun. That's kinda the only game I have in mind.

I think I have a Dual Shock floating around, if not I'll find one definitely.

My favorite PS2 games would be:

1. Jak II
2. Radiata Stories
3. Sly Cooper 1
4. Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal
5. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
6. Sly 3
7. Ratchet: Deadlocked
8. Sly 2
9. Jak 3
10. Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando

As you can see, the three big platformer series' (Jak, Ratchet, and Sly) all really appealed to me. Radiata Stories is a fantastic JRPG from Tri-Ace, the makers of Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile. Game Informer gave it a 9.25.

If you like JRPGs, Dragon Quest 8 is pure awesomeness, Dragon Quest: Journey of the Cursed King, and another game, I can't remember it now, you play this pshycic guy escaping from institution and you get flashbacks to before you had those abilites, and the game just goes craxy banana sh*t on you at the end.

Someone help me here, can't remember the title>.<

If you like JRPGS then:

P3FES: $15 for a fucking awesome game that's stuffed to the gills with content.

P4: FES' sequel more of the same but polished to a mirror shine and the murder mystery plot is awesome.

If you don't then ignore this and look at another person's post because most of the games listed kick ass.
