Dwarven Armour. The helmet is just fucking state of the art badassery. Then you have your massive pauldrons for extra awesome.

Am I the only one who puts on the Masque of CV, Daedric boots and gauntlets, and the Nightingale armor and pretend to be a super sneaky, murderous Batman? I certainly look the part.

What looks the best? The steel armours, even the steel full plate (maybe excepting the helmet, though it's not too bad compared to others), because they're not as stupidly over-designed as every other type of armour. I get this is a fantasy setting and it's just par for the course, but it irritates me because I know how much it'd annoy me to fight wearing that shit, especially things like the Daedric armour which has spikes all over the damn place.
That said, what I actually wear when playing my Nord sword-and-shield brute is the Daedric heavy armour, and for my current light armour run-through I have glass, though that will become Dragonscale soon enough.

I like the thieves guild armor.

Dont know why everyone loves the Nightingale armor so much, doesnt seem like anything special to me.
It's the cape, methinks, but I like the thevies guild armour as well.

Personally...it's gotta come down to either the steel plate armour for a traditional "knight in shining armour" look, or the dwarven armour, just for being ridiculously huge. It's like some medieval version of the iron man suit made in the cave in the first film. Also, doesn't anyone else find it kinda strange that you find suits of dwarven armour that fit a fully grown man in dwarven ruins?

Honestly, it's a shame I usually favour light armour...

I mean, if I saw someone walking down the street with that dwarven armor set on... Phew. Daedric would impress me, but not as much as the dwarven.
What is scary to think about is that some Dwemer metal was made of souls.

Dwemer armor = armor made of souls

I went to the mages college in dwarven armour once. That looked...odd.

If I am remembering this right dwarves/dwemer in TES are a type of elf and not actually short so it would fit a person. TES lore is random.

The name Dwarf was a term given to the Dwemer by the giants.

Because the Dwemer were, as all other races are, dwarfs compared to the giants.

The best looking vanilla armour for me was the steel plate, minus the helmet. It was the most practical looking, and also had a little Nordic flavour. A close second is the Stormcloak officer armour, including the "helmet". That armour is fucking perfect if you want to play a Nord or Orc berserker.

I had a little nerdgasm when I got the Nightingale for the first time. Even after a full clear and several hundred hours of gameplay, I still think that armor looks the best.

They...dare mock my favourite fantasy race by comparing them to the tree-dwellers? rrrrrrrRRRAAAA-Nah, it's elder scrolls, I can't be angry at them for long.

I read a book in Oblivion about an expedition into a dwemer ruin, which ended with the archeologists nearly getting squised by a centurion robot.

From that point on, I was hooked on everything about the Dwemer. When I found my first dwarven ruin in Skyrim, I had a squee moment. Then I grabbed metal from the ruins, melted it down and made a suit of armor. Then I squeed again! Dwarven armor may not look as fancy as elven armor, but it's made to last, thats for sure.

Dwemer

Always been my favorite, always will be.
Nothing beats looking like a steam powered knight.

Armour? Not really...

I like the Archmage robes... My orc looks absolutely fabulous wearing it.
How can an orc be fabulous? I don't think words orc and fabulous should even be used in the same sentence.
Nevermind that. Arch mage robes and fabulous shouldn't be in the same sentance. Seriously they don't even deserve to be called robes. It is a pity because I like most of the new robes(except for db and archmage)
My favorite Armor is the Nightingale. But the Kajiit tail going through it annoys me.

I don't really like any of the vanilla armors. Leather, and the Imperial armors look the best to me I guess. Orcish is nice without the helmet. Combine with a Steel Plate or Ebony helm.

Ebony and Steel Plate would be nice without the ridiculous boob swells which wouldn't be present on real armor.

I hate Dwarven, looks like a damn Steampunk C3PO.

My character spends most of her time wearing either nothing or mod armor. Or both. ;)

Daedric, of course! Red and black just works well together. Although I did skip the helmet in favour of a nice crown-like thing I dug up from somewhere. Works surprisingly well for a Khajiit warlock. Just a shame there's no tail armour or somesuch, feels like a rather obvious weak point.

I just like the idea of a caster wearing plate. Nothing like a good, comfy robe, but, you know... If you're in the tomb raiding business, you might end up taking a few hits here and there. Plus, you should always look slightly more awesome than your minions, can't have them getting any ideas.

However... While I adore Dwemers (being good ol' d0rfs but less typecasted), I really don't like their armour... It's like wearing a cardboard suit wrapped in gold-coloured wrapping paper or something. I understand that it's effectively old robot-casings, but it still looks rather silly. And I'd prefer a functioning robot, myself.

I like fur armor. Enchant it with whatever you like and rush into battle half naked like any true nord man would! Also there are several variants to the fur armor which means you can pick your favorite. Personaly I like the one with the shawl.
