basically im doing a psych paper on the movies Righteous Kill and Hot Fuzz on the portrayal of someone losing their mind but i need the exact term of the "losing your mind and turning psycho" thing.

i tihnk they use shell shocked more for when soldiers have experience a bomb, either very near them, or actually injuring them

but yeah i agree with people say post-traumatic stress disorder, seems to fit
