If it wasn't so repugnant, I would be genuinely impressed by how insidiously succesful this industry is at turning people into good spineless consumers who'd rather have a bad product than miss out, or even worse, not get product at all. Though it's by now mean limited to games. I mean, look at smartphones.

Anyway, propaganda works.

When gaslighting meets Stockholm syndrome, it can indeed be an astonishing feat of wretchedness to behold. I?m just waiting for that moment when the lights come on, and people come to just in time to witness the sleezy naked pubs/devs fleeing out their bedroom windows, the condom they said they used unopened on the night stand next to an empty bottle of roofies, and the makeup sex is revealed for the rape it actually was.

I'd can't believe they are sacrificing their artistic integrity to change the game and make it more what the fans want, how entitled can you get.

Yeah I'm still bitter about Mass Effect 3.

I decided to play anthem after this announcement because it;s like 5 bucks now, and I wanted to see what was up. The announcement makes it sound like the core of the game is good and it's just the progression that has the problems. This is kind of true. The progression is clearly broken, but I don't think the core is as solid as it looks and fixing the stuff around it will show that.

The real said thing about anthem is it could have been good. To compare it to destiny destiny had good combat, but moving around the world is kind of eh. (Running long distances is dull and the bikes feel tacked on.) Destiny with jetpacks could have been a destiny killer. The other game to compare it to is warframe and I would love to see a game with the gameplay of warframe, but not the progression/free to play model. Anthem could have been good.
