I was never Diagnosed with anxiety issues, or any of the like. and to be honest I'm not sure if the effect I feel is the worst of it. But one painful trait that seems to reoccur every time with me is the horrible feeling of unreality. Like I'm losing grasp on reality (I reduce the term to "freaking out"). This, is far worse then any other feeling I have experienced. worse then pain, and fear. Is there any other escapists out there who have the same issue? Do you have any tips for quelling it? Please discuss.

I kind of know what you're talking about, its not pleasant. And Max I know what THAT is like also haha, if only my reality was as good as that in my head.

But sometimes, I can't remember the stuff I made up and the stuff that really happened.

And it's not just a "whoopsies I forgot," it's a "now which memory is real because I can't tell them apart AT ALL."
I know the feeling. I was never diagnosed with anything because I won't go to a doctor for fear of being diagnosed, I have felt something similar but for me it was being reduced to a dream-like state and being unable to recognize reality from fiction upon my awakening.

Actually, this is a problem with me too.
I made up a few fake memories to deal with things when I was younger, and eventually began to believe they were real.
Picking them apart can be hard. Especially seeing as I went as far as to create the most inane memories possible.

Also, I am plagued with self-hatred.
I'm just a fun guy like that.

OMG I did that too, in a way. I tested positive for bipolar on a website and I was like "that's it, no more advice from the interbutts. NO. MORE." being diagnosed is scary ;_;

looking back on it I think it was a bull test but still..

Sadly, if you have the experience with mental disorders that my family does it becomes very easy to diagnose yourself and that really sucks.

...Strangely enough, that was my reason as well.
I also daydream a lot, and the more mundane daydreams can mix with reality.
Except instead of being like oil on water, it's like water into more water.

It's kind of a pain in the ass. I sort of wish I had just dealt with my problems instead of erasing years of my memory.
Actually, I'm sort of glad I didn't.
My sister dealt with them rather than outright erasing like I did, and she has so many rage issues.
It's probably better that I repressed them so I can deal with them now, while I'm mature enough to handle it.
Getting at them is a *****, though.

The trick is to find something to hold to reality with.
I try, it's not easy though. Usually helps me if I describe my enviroment, or something like that, cleaning or listening to indie music also helps. sadly playing videogames only makes it worse.

also what is the deal with that erectile dysfunction guy? 0.o actually made me giggle more then worry (as I have no issues regarding THAT). so my assumption is that he is either trolling (lol)or I'm just not recognising how helpful he is trying to be.
