Splatterhouse (the reboot). This game had issues coming out its ears: it was buggy as hell, the QTEs got incredibly boring and easy very quickly, and the load times were absolutely atrocious, but I loved it all the same. I loved the "Re-Animator" and Lovecraftian feel to the story, I thought the idea of playing as this savage monster who quite literally beats his enemies to death with his bare hands was awesome, and the mask made me laugh (most of the time). Plus I'll give it credit that the collectibles were piecing together nude photos of your super hot GF.
Although it wasn't panned quite as bad, my second nomination is Dante's Inferno. The QTEs were absurd (they never change!!), parts of the game were insanely frustrating, and the last 3rd saw a definite quality drop from the first 2/3, but I still loved it. The game was downright unflinching in its brutality and twistedness of showcasing hell, I liked that there was no way you could unlock all the upgrades in a single playthrough, and I liked the "holy vs. unholy" skill tree.
If you had told me that a studio would ever have the guts to release a game with 'glutton demons' that shit and barf on you, or 'lust demons' who shoot tentacles out of their special purpose, I'd have told you no freaking way, but the developers of that game were willing to go the extra mile.
