I am normally a rock/metal/grunge sort of guy but i have been listerning to pendulum's hold your colours recently and it has totally blown me away. it has also made me want to get into the whole d and b/Rave scene. I want to know if any of you guys know music that is simular to that of pendulum. (don't bother saying prodigy or enter shikari as i know of those)

also is Pendulum's newest album in silco any good? is it as good as hold your colours?

I thought their second album was better, as for other bands, I can't help you with that I'm afraid, the only reason I accept Pendulum is because there are actual musicians behind the music, and the front man is very talented.

Pendulum is to Drum and Bass what McDonald's is to a gourmet restaurant.

Hold Your Colour is a goodish album, it had some good songs on there, but nothing more than good. Not great. In Silico was trash, pure trash. I saw them live a couple of years back and thankfully they played very little of it. The next album is definitely more DnB styled from what I've heard, but it still doesn't hold a candle to true drum and bass bands.

Look for;
Noisia
Sub Focus
Plump DJ's
DJ Shadow
Drumsound & Bassline Smith
Matrix & Futurebound
Lunar
State of Mind
Telemetrik

The Qemists are pretty good.

As for In Silico, some people like ti some people dont. But it seems to be the people that listen to drum & bass are the one who have a problem with it. I myself think it's great. Pendulum has another album coming out on the 24th of may called Immersion.

I posted a few songs on there, the third spoiler of my first post is the best I can do to help you.
