Any "Black Metal" fans out there?

I've grown up with metal music as my one and only vice and I really think it's something more people should get into; it unifies people, it's invigorating and it's actually fulfilling and life affirming to go and see your favourite metal band play, and mosh with people who are passionate about the same music as you.

However, as my tastes develop and change I'm finding myself getting into darker, heavier stuff. Black metal in particular is a genre which really interests me and as yet I've only really managed to get into a few tracks. Any veterans of the genre present on the escapist who would be willing to provide me some suggestions of more accessible BM acts to get into? I know tonssssssss of people into black metal I would say I know more people that are heavy into metal than any other genre.

It's not my favourite genre of metal, but there are some really good bands in it, such as Dimmu Borgir and Wolven Ancestry.

I'd recommend Enslaved personally. Proggy black metal, this is from the last album.

Ah glad to find another Dimmu Borgir fan, really love their stuff. Infact I'm going to be seeing them live this Sunday in Cardiff doing a 2 hour show, performing Enthrone Darkness Triumphant in it's entirety and then another hour of classics. Will be the first time I've seen them live, really looking forward to it.

I'd say I Black Metal is my favourite genre, With Dimmu being my favourite band of the genre. I just love the full orchestra's and choirs involved with most of the albums, they make it sound so much more powerful and gives me a real rush just listening to some of their songs.
