Most of my friends are music enthusiasts and we tend to just sit hours at my place and play tunes to each other.
Psytrance, Electro, Fidget, House, Drum and bass, hardstyle and last but not least: Dubstep. But there is a catch. Everyone but my closest friends hate it. So i thought that I'd ask the community if there is anyone who likes it.

And if you don't know what it is:

Dirty/filthy dubstep

More laid back chill dubstep

Seriously though, it's an... interesting sound, I'll give it that. I don't hate it.

I quite like a bit of dub while I'm working or driving, but after long periods of time it does get slightly dull. I'm no hardcore fan, but I'll listen to it.

Dub, yes. Dubstep? Not really. I don't understand the attraction. I've enjoyed it at times, but I think that was mainly due to the people I was with. And state I was in. :p

It's nothing I'd play at home or particularly seek it out when clubbing, but it's not bad, I don't leave the dance floor if it comes on...

I love dubstep. I'm sure everyone seen it by now, and it's only tangentially related, but here's an amusing dubstep themed video:

EDIT: Oh, and Soundcloud is pwzown.

Hell yes! finally someone else out there in the apparently endless void of people who have barely even heard of dubstep. Flux is awesome http://www.youtube.com/user/UKFDubstep#p/u/3/jqL_g0PVwYE
love pretty much everything hes ever done, bar 9 is lush http://www.youtube.com/user/UKFDubstep#p/search/0/OCmO-C9D3zE (its got a awesome music video) Mt. Eden produces the best laid back dub ever http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDYIdBZUl2Y and this remix I found off UKF dubstep the other day (http://www.youtube.com/user/UKFDubstep probably the best youtube dub channel, definitely my favourite) is just insanely lush: http://www.youtube.com/user/UKFDubstep#p/u/2/gRTa6pBoKNM

It's good when you're loaded on alcohol and in the club, or when you're blasted on E and in the club.

Also, when you're stoned and just chilling out.

Some dubstep I can enjoy completely sober, but when I want to chill I'll take other electronica any day.

Depends if I'm in the mood for it really but you reallly need some good sub woofers or something to get the sound. It out of a laptop/conventional speakers just doesn't work too well.

I like it well enough, but to really get into it I have to be pretty drunk/ baked.

I still enjoy it though, but as with any genre, theres some real shit out there to balance out the greatness of some of the other stuff.

Dubstep is interesting, only because to me it sounds like it belongs in a movie trailer (Those kinds with fast cuts and characters in the right kind of light that makes you feel like saying, "Damn, some Shit's about to go down") right before you show quick flashes of guys jumping from rooftops and firing guns. In that context, it's great.

In any other context, It's harder to enjoy.

As for some I like (They are listed as Dubstep, but I cannot classify what is what, except for the painfully obvious)

I like it when it has a heavy and loud bass line. Crazy drops/rises. And epic beats.

I do not like it when it is going for a softer tone. I like my dubstep for dancing/ going fucking insane. Not for chilling.
