Any fans of the Tales series on this site?

Of the ones I've played,Symphonia,Abyss,Vesperia,Legendia and Phantasia(GBA remake), the only one I hate was Phantasia due to Cless' tendency to run back and forth between attacks and giving you a swordsman and 3 mages for a party kinda annoys me.THough in general I play more for the characters because the story is usually cliche or loses it's shit in the third act.

Vesperia has my fav Combat,Abyss has my favorite story, and Symphonia is just my plain favorite. Also Legendia is not the hell spawn some fans make it out to be,though saying that on the official tales forums will destroy any creditability you may have there.

I beat and rather liked Symphonia (though I'll admit it dives a bit on the second disk), got about 10 hours into Abyss, and have played a ways into Vesperia on a borrowed 360. Considering that I'm the appointed owner of the Tales series group on here, I'd say I'm a fan.

Yeah. I've played Abbys, Symphonia, New Dawn, and Vesperia Online (A game better left forgotten).

Also, it helps if you've been in/are in a relationship or at least don't mind a game being primarily about them. See, as much as the game takes place in the same world as the first one...the main focus is on the hero's growth as a character, and his budding relationship with the heroine. And honestly, I don't mind one bit.

It really doesn't deserve all the flak it got.

That relationship was honestly the best thing about the game, and the one aspect that outshined the original...or even most RPGs that involve romance that I've played, come to think of it.

I think the only thing I wasn't jazzed about was the monster recruiting, but even that grew on me. The battle system felt like a nice mix of Symphonia and Abyss, and Emil's actually my favorite Tales character to play as (followed by Luke, Zelos, and Colette).

As is only appropriate for the master. Who happens to have not only vast oceans of snark, but the coolest Indignation of the series.

I don't care if Vesperia's looks even cooler, Rita doesn't pull off the incantation <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtCiP8B2xpc>nearly as well.

Ive never played one. Ive seen the Tales of The Abyss anime, and wanted to play one, but I ran into some difficulty

First I thought id play Tales Of Symphonia 2, but I wanted to play the first one first. I had no luck finding a copy in Pal format.

Then I couldnt find any of the PS2 Tales games. So no luck there

Then I heard Tales of Vesperia was coming out on PS3 with twice as much content. Which was great until I discovered it was Japan only. Bastards.

So right now im waiting for Tales Of Graces F

The PS2 tales of games weren't released in pal regions.

I started out with Symphonia since that was the first to be released in europe. I really enjoyed it at the time and it's what got me into the series, but since then I've played Abyss and Vesperia, both of which I consider to be superior to Symphonia in cast, story and gameplay. Abyss being my favourite overall. I also own Eternia, Symphonia 2 and Legendia, the former of which I got quite far but my save was deleted, and the latter 2 I just havent touched yet.

Will definitely be importing Tales of Graces F from america when it's released. Not expecting a pal release to be honest.

I've played Phantasia (GBA), Eternia on PSP and Symphonia 2. The latter made me laugh so fucking much. Me and my mates played it for a while and we were laughing really hard at the TERRIBLE voice acting and the story as well xD

Beaten Symphonia somewhere in the neighborhood of ten times. Easily one of my all time favorite games,along side S3&K and Majora's Mask. If you don't like it, then you deserve to have your arm hairs plucked for not having the patience to weather the initial cliche storm all Tales games have.

I've played Symphonia a LOT (still haven't sat down and blitzed it eight times while keeping the titles to get 100% completion, because fuck that, really, even for a completionist like me), and I've been trying to get my hands on other games in the series. Apparently Tales of the Abyss is brilliant, but alas, no PS2.

Symphonia 2 seems mediocre to me, though, after trying to play it for a bit at a friend's house.

Unfortunately Dawn of the New World was designated by Namco as an escort title, which means it got a really tiny budget. There's just no excuse for that if your making a sequel to what is hands down the best game in the Tales series.

I played Symphonia on the Gamecube, enjoyed, bought Phantasia too. Liked it more, except the battle system and characters. My favourite, however, is Tales of Vesperia. All-round great game, but the plot kind of peters out a bit in act 2.

I am a massive, massive fan of Tales of Symphonia, Zelos Wilder is the man! Even played through Dawn of the New World despite it being admittedly awful... especially the voice cast changes... The anime is good though!
Haven't got a 360 so I've only played Vesperia sporadically at a friend's.
I also recently acquired a PSP so I'm looking to purchase as many of the Tales of's I can for that too
