Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, The Walking Dead, any show AMC makes. They got a new show coming out called the Killing or something. AMC does shows right, they make it like your watching a movie every episode.
YES! Brekaing Bad and The Walking Dead are awesome shows.

Also, try Castle and Burn Notice. Not anime or Sci-Fi, but excellent shows.
I don't watch Burn Notice on a regular basis, but my dad watches it a lot so if I'm passing by and he has it on I'll sit down and watch it. It's quite good. Never heard of Castle but I'll definitely look into it!

Two and a half men, for giggles

Legend of the Seeker, for action adventure, if you like that sort of stuff.

Brainiac, for giggly science, Not fiction.

The Shield, haven't seen much, but it's been recommended to me by my uncle, who pretty much likes what I like.

As most of my Sci-Fi ones have already been said I'll just suggest a comedy from my homeland.

One Foot in the Grave

It's a comedy about a crotchety old man forced in to retirement and he and his long suffering wife have to deal with the world seemingly going insane around them.

This whole season has been flawless.
That was amazing. I will DEFINITELY watch that show. And if I'm not mistaken, the guy who they were chasing was in Fringe and he was quite good. I might be mistaken but it looked like him.

He may have been. He plays a small part in a good many comedy movies (I know he was in Superbad and Pineapple Express). If you start watching Community from the beginning, know that show starts off kind of slow because it's more traditional. Then about midway through the first season, it starts doing a bunch of concept episodes (like a post-apocalyptic paintball episode).

Not sure if you can find it on NetFlix but Battlestar Galactica is prime choice for anyone with an interest for SciFi. I myself just got done with a three week, 4 and a half season marathon where I watched every episode from beginning to end.
