Two and a half men, for giggles
Legend of the Seeker, for action adventure, if you like that sort of stuff.
Brainiac, for giggly science, Not fiction.
The Shield, haven't seen much, but it's been recommended to me by my uncle, who pretty much likes what I like.

As most of my Sci-Fi ones have already been said I'll just suggest a comedy from my homeland.

It's a comedy about a crotchety old man forced in to retirement and he and his long suffering wife have to deal with the world seemingly going insane around them.

He may have been. He plays a small part in a good many comedy movies (I know he was in Superbad and Pineapple Express). If you start watching Community from the beginning, know that show starts off kind of slow because it's more traditional. Then about midway through the first season, it starts doing a bunch of concept episodes (like a post-apocalyptic paintball episode).EcHoFiiVe said:
Not sure if you can find it on NetFlix but Battlestar Galactica is prime choice for anyone with an interest for SciFi. I myself just got done with a three week, 4 and a half season marathon where I watched every episode from beginning to end.
