Any holiday mishaps

As i was putting up out Christmas tree this year i remembered what happened to last years tree.

After we bought a tree we then tied it to the top of our van to bring it home. It got dark out and as we were pulling into out driveway it was to dark to see that my dad had strung a clothesline (don't ask me why it was freezing) across the section where we park the van and was going to pull in. To late we realized the line was there and we quite literally clotheslined the tree off the top of the van and onto the ground snapping the top off.

Has anyone done something like this.

Last year the dog bit through an electrical wire that was plugged in at the time. It was the wire to the plug of a mini light up tree we had next to the real tree.
