I haven't played nearly enough Shadowrun. It's a supremely badass setting.

For the uninitiated, Shadowrun combines cyberpunk and high fantasy to create a near future world where technology has advanced beyond our understanding, powerful mega corporations control everyday life, and magic and classical fantasy races have returned to the world.

Would any of you be interested in joining before I put up a signup thread?

I think we were both in the sites last Shadowrun attempt.

Since then I've actually played a tabletop campaign in the setting and know it much much better, I'd sign up if people would be interested. Hell I'd probably play the same character

I know you've been running a few of these lately since I was last in one. (You may recall that I was running Jonesy the shaman.) Since that time, I'd been playing Shadowrun Returns and been acquainted with 5th Edition. Maybe you could volunteer some background info on where you might be taking this?

I'd be interested in it, but I'd prefer it if didn't devolve into constant combat this time personally.

I would probably run a previous game (that never really started) involving the players having to obtain a package being transported by a convoy of armored trucks. The targets being both heavily protected and mobile complicates the mission more than a basic infilation, but also provides options as how to attempt the run (having a decker hijack the traffic systems, gaining corporate uniforms and talking their way onboard, street samurai jumping onto the trucks from above, etc.)

I would be open to suggestion, of course.

That would be the player's decision. I try to include scenarios that can be overcome without combat if the players are creative.

Well, my latest char is a former UCAS military black troll who's connected with the massacre of a Humanis Policlub base. He's severely anti-Humanis for obvious reasons and a bloody tank of a man. Something like this would probably be up his alley, though UCAS wants him for questoning.

I'm interested. Shadowrun Returns was a great game, and I've played it in the RP forums more than once before. I need to dig up my old character, see if I could still use it. If not, I could always make a new one. I like the setting a lot, it's very unique.
