Any minecraft ideas?

There's already a powered minecart that runs on coal, you can use a glitch to make minecarts go really fast, and they're adding a single block which will do the same thing in the next patch anyway.

As for my ideas, I think there should be a mob which can slowly destroy blocks, and a mob which poisons you, meaning that you have to run back to the surface in order to survive.

Most minecraft suggestions seem to be way over the top. There was a serious suggestion I saw on the forums for the height limit to be increased to 20000 blocks...

I'd like to see towns, villages, or even just houses inside the randomly generated seeds. Right now, the game seems a bit... Deserted when you aren't in a multiplayer game. Maybe if it was the same principal as spawning Dungeons? A house (Or derelict house) randomly spawns in an X by Y space, and has treasure chests filled with things in. It'll basically be a dungeon above ground.

 

[Someone Depressing]

Either A FlashLight, or a Lantern.
Having to place torches everywhere just gets tedious after you wasted your 3rd stack.
And I don't want any of that "Press f to use the Flashlight" shit. You have to hold it in your hand, I just find the "Press F to use FlashLight" stuff Annoying, and Immersion Breaking.

PS : This thread's full of interesting ideas, I'll give it that.

@A Raging Emo : Notch has confirmed about adding NPC villages, you can chat with the NPCs, or make them your servant bitches. He's not went into much detail.
