Lately I've been feeling rather apathetic about life. Not in the gay, "Why bother living?" way, but more the lazy "I don't want to do anything." way. And I'd like to know if anyway has any game suggestions.

Not just any game, mind you. Not a "Well this should hold you over for a few days." nonsense, like L4D or Dead Space or something. I need a game that will captivate me heart and soul and take me on an emotional rollercoaster that will test my limits of imagination. Or... Just something really interesting and fun, whatever you guys can come up with.

Thank you all in advance.

Have you played Mass Effect? Also try a real life activity like a school club or a sport

Yeah, I've played it a few times.

Not really a sports type, and considering I have to take a bus two hours to get to and from my classes, I try not to stay on campus longer than I have to.

I actually were surprised that Brutal Legend was a pretty good game with AWESOME music, and lots of humor in it :D

Bioshock. One of my favourites and it kept me going to the end on storytelling a pyromania alone.

Try real-life activity.

Out out into the sun. Or at the very least, out of the house. Go bowling, jogging, cycling, play badminton. Or just go for a walk: with no destination in mind, walk around for an hour no matter the weather.

If I start wondering what game I should play while getting the feeling of 'Meh...' in general, then I know for sure I've been cooped up inside for too long.

While I do appreciate the sentiments, "real-life activities" aren't what I'd like. I do those already. I go for walks, I hang out, what have you. But I have insomnia, and I'm often up until 3 or 4 in the morning, and would rather not take a walk in the dark in my heavily wooded community because, frankly, it scares the shit out of me.

So I'd just like some games to play to hold my interests at midnight and after because sitting here, waiting to get any sleep has gotten old.

You should try somethign you normally wouldnt. A good rpg can be gripping if you get into it. Try a final fantasy, but a good one. OR even go retro, try some of your older games you forgotten, dust of that commadore 64 and give her a spin. IT will bring great memories, ive started playing my old snes games again and theres nothing better. If you dont have any old consoles left, you should try emulators because if you had the cartridge its legal to download the rom and emulator to play it on your PC. i recently download Prject 64 which gives you access to Nintendo 64 games. Also VBA which is for gameboy games, but there are hundereds of others.
Hope i helped (Y)

If you don't mind strategy, try Civ4 or Sins of a Solar Empire. You could get a good MP game like TF2, or CoD4. Or how about an MMO? Like... EVE, yeah, not a certain "other" game... :D

Haha, if I ever find my red version I might just pick up pokemon again. I can't get into all this newer nonsense with three hundred billion pokemon. At that point, why bother getting them all?

I've tried EVE, and while it's cool I don't have the kind of money where that's something I'd like to pay for. I might pick up Sins again, that was plenty of fun, as was COD4.

And I have Project 64, but I haven't cracked that out in a minute. Maybe it's time to fire it up and played Ocarina of Time.

Thanks for all the responses :D

I'd suggest Killer 7 on Gamecube or PS2, the game is really weird and colourful but you can't help but try to make sense of it all. I've played through twice and still don't fully understand it. Some people don't like it because its a rail-shooter but if you look past that i think it would captivate and test your imagination
