It's at $66 for this week, and comes with a free game of up to $50 value. Borderlands GOTY is catching my interest as far as replayability goes. I've got a 20mbps internet connection, so viable for me.

Anyone else intrigued by it?

But I thought OnLive was just a game streaming thingy for PCs, not a whole separate system..?

This confuses me.

I still won't get whatever it is though.. _>

...Oh, it's an adapter? Hm.. Still no.

$66, with one comped game worth $50, and then a monthly fee for however long you want to keep said game, right? It sounds more like a ripoff to me than a deal. Why not just pay the $50, and get the same game for a system you already have? That way you don't have to keep paying for the privilege of retaining that which you already paid for.

Wrong. No monthly fee.

In the case of Borderlands, it has framerate issues on consoles, and a PC that wouldn't have them would be considerably more expensive. Playing games on a Netbook works fairly well with Onlive, but I also enjoy just playing on the couch on a big screen TV. That would be why.
