Anyone else excited for Guild Wars 2?

I was originally going to entitle this thread GW vs WoW but I'm sure its been done before.

Anyway!!

After reading all these blogs on the offical Guild Wars 2 website, I have to say that although alot of it sounds like high-hopes, I'm still really excited for this game! It looks to be amazing the way you can combine spells and how diverse the gaming world will be. I absolutely LOVED Guild Wars 1 and had all the expansions, I loved the 8 skill combat where what you chose mattered and you could have fun in various pvp and pve ways.

Are there any escapist MMO freaks who are very excited to see how GW2 pans out? And yes it is Free to Play.

yeah I cant wait for it, I play GW and its fun, it is free to play but its more Buy 2 play, as Free 2 play implies that you do not pay anything to get the game or play it.

Most certainly. And I'm also pretty impressed by the recent 'War in Kryta' event going on in the original Guild Wars. It's mostly lore, but they've also added new enemy mobs throughout Kryta (the Peacekeepers, and they're tough), and a new bounty (for one of the Peacekeeper bosses, it changes every day) that'll reward you new items (War Supplies that can be exchanged for Royal Presents, that contain a variety of things including new miniatures). 'War in Kryta' is mainly an event that goes deeper into certain parts of the Guild Wars 2 lore, such as what happened to the White Mantle and how the royal bloodline once again got control over Kryta.

Im not after the way NCSoft treated me with an issue they created with a guild wars account of mine...

(Locked it down for no damn reason takes em a week to unlock it to find they trashed half the armor on all of my players >.> then they refused to restore it and said do it again >.< )

This whole dynamic events thing sounds pretty fucking cool. The thing that has always turned me off of MMORPGs is one's inability to have any affect on the environment whatsoever. I wonder how they are going to get around the issue of players being able to destroy content, if that's truly what they are proposing.

What I'm really excited about is the rumored Warhammer 40,000 MMO, although that might just be vaporware.
