I'm very much interested in detective stories, and I've loved the Phoenix Wright series. That said, I don't own an Xbox. If I did, I would definitely at least try out the demo, and maybe even buy it on launch day.
Well it's for PS3 and Xbox, if you have the former.. tho I think you're saying you have a Wii or handheld or something.

I am PC-only. For the most part, I'm not interested in buying a console.

I need a good detective casing solving game to fill the hole the Police Quest games left me in. Used to love those games.

Though I'm interested to see how well I play this sort of game... I will likely miss a lot of clues leaving myself very confused. >.>
I've been reading that there are quite a few 'hints' in the game which help the player to not leave a scene until they've got everything they need, etc. Something to do with music playing when something is complete etc. I kinda thought it would be a shame (as it kinda doesn't leave it to this 'chance' element and helps guide you more than free-roam) but it would definitely be of interest to you if you are worried about it :) I don't think you really will though, with the list of games you're looking to get this year it sounds like you're pretty up on it and I'm sure you've got 'teh skillz' - no worries.

I'm pretty sure that it's going to be absolutely amazing. I can't wait ^^

Amazing game. Simily brilliant. Voice acting and facial software just adds to the great gameplay. I've been dying for a police adventure game since Police Quest 3 and this has filled that gap.

It's a shame about the setting. I was interested in the technology, and I'm always interested in a step forward for videogame storytelling, but I absolutely despise, LOATHE the setting. I hate Noir, I hate the 40's-90's, I hate cops, I hate the wild west...

I haven't played a Rockstar game in some time.

I'm intersted but I pretty much figured out who the killer was during the preview of the "lipstick" murder shown at PAX East. Haven't Played it yet but I'm pretty sure the killer is

The Temp Bartender

He shows all the signs of being a Serial killer in the short conversation you have with him, and the guys showing us the preview seemed to purposely not place any attention on him at all.

But I maybe wrong like I said I haven't played it yet this is just a hunch I have from the preview.

There are 21 different cases through out the game, all of them different, with different suspects and culprits

This is true. However,as I've been told, once you reach Homicide there is a Serial Killer plot that begins to show itself. I've also been told there is Mention of the Black Dahlia murder (the murder of Elizabeth Short), and that there is atleast one note sent to the station signed "Tex". That concludes my knowledge of this game, but I think it's sufficent enough to tell me it's more than just 21 completely seperate cases.

I've been hearing a lot of criticism about it as of late (the ending is apparently abrupt and unsatisfying, the interrogations are frustrating), but I definitely am excited for it. A story-focused Rockstar game based in the 40's and starring a guy from Mad Men? Count me in!

It looks interesting but I'm not sure I'm up for investigating. That and my recent gaming tastes have trended away from single player and more into multi, cooperative play where I can basically muck about with my friends while playing together online. A single player game would have to be a sublime experience at this point to get me to bother.

Uh...holy shit, bro. Your guess was right...he's The Werewolf, perpetrator of the Black Dahlia murders. That's...impressive.
I didn't even notice that guy until the end of the final homicide case.

Garret Mason. He's the temp Bartender at The Bamba Club

I'm not really interested, but that's because it's not my kind of game. For the record, it looks awesome for those interested in those cinematic investigation games and those whom heavy rain didn't satisfy.
