Anyone have either of these controllers for Xbox or PC?

I like the idea of being able to switch the Dpad around on the Mad Catz controller, but I think that the extra optional buttons will be more useful. Has anyone here ever used either of these particularly on PC? Did you need to do anything special to get it to work on PC? Are these controllers durable? I have seen reviews on Amazon saying that the Sabertooth controller breaks easily, has that been the case for any of you who has the Sabertooth or even the MLG controller?

I'd stay away from any controller made by Mad Catz. They completely lack durability and tend to break within just a few months of extended use.

I read comments from more than a few ppl saying Razer Pads have big problems with durability and break easily.

I haven't used that particular Razer gamepad, but I have used the Onza (I think its called) and it felt cheaply made and very flimsy all-round , something that wouldn't last long with lots of use. Unlike the actual Xbox 360 gamepads which are as solid as a brick.

The PS3 one looks great, I despise the default PS3 controller and that one looks like it eliminates all the problems I have with it. But then its probably not designed with durability in mind, and constantly changing the sticks and whatnot would probably reduce its life even more.

Also the Razer one should definitely be PC compatible. Not sure on the Mad Cats, you would like to think so.

Really? I've never had a single issue with Mad Catz.

I use a PS2 to PC usb thing so I can use my old PS2 controllers. I heard you can hook up the xbox controller easily if it's wired though but I haven't tried it yet. On PC I tend to use mouse/keyboard most of the time, except for racers.

I've also had trouble with Mad Catz breaking on me. But I have no experience with Razer. A simple 360 pad for PC is about thirty bucks and would be more durable than both of those.

I find that the standard 360 controller does not fit well in my hands. If I try to hold it with my right hand flush with the grip my thumb tip is off in oblivion somewhere so I tend to really bend my right hand so that I can press buttons with the tip of my thumb. This leads to an unstable controller that I have dropped during games. Same with the DS3 but that controller is much smaller and lighter so I do have a much firmer grip, I just wish the triggers were not pure crap. I'm hoping that one of these will fit my hands better.

I had a Mad Catz controller. The buttons were obviously cheap because they clicked loudly in their sockets and the thing broke after about a year. Me no recommend.

Mad Catz is so crap, that my local gaming stores will not buy them from you. Avoid.

I have one of the official Xbox wired controllers. They work just fine and are a hell of a lot more durable than third-party crap. And only $50. You can get them at any Gamestop, really.

I tend to stay away from 3rd party peripherals if I can help it. They tend to be cheaply made and don't work half the time.

I have a razer onza tournament edition. So the one you linked is just a bit more advanced. So far I have only had positive experiences with razer products, and i've got a lot of 'em, so I'd go with that.

I ended up ordering the Sabertooth, it has more useful features than the Mad Catz controller so if it works out I will be much better off than with the MLG one. For almost 80USD-100USD these controllers should work on either console as far as I am concerned.
