I welcome slow, I just finished my a-levels and worked FUCKING hard for the last four months before my exams started so slow suits me just fine. It's nice not needing or wanting to do anything for a change.

Ah your English I'm guessing? I hav and English friend and she told me you guys only get a month off for summer, is that true?
Well after two months of slow, I could kill for a bit more excitment.

Well, it's actually winter right now in Australia.
So I probably shouldn't be on this thread...

Month and a half or there abouts so yeah, near enough. By the end I'm usually pretty bored, so a month and a half isn't so bad.

This is the summer before University for me, so I get three months off.

Isn't a slow summer good? Doesn't that mean it didn't fly by in a haze of 'what the fuck did I waste all summer doing' and that it seems longer?

Acctually the opposite, it's been so boring, it's just been one big boring blob.
Granted I've had a couple of goo nights, but a lot of my friends go out quite regularly, something I can't do because of lack of I.d.

Slow is good.

This is my last summer, actually. I'm off to college in September, so this is probably the last time in my life I really get to totally chill out, with no responsibilities, and no worries.

I'm enjoying it though, I really am.
I believe you man=P
I must ask though, how was the leaving? I'm doing it next year and I'm shitting it.

I haven't really had a slow summer, but it's been the worst one so far. Terrible weather, nowhere fun to go, nothing fun to do. I can't wait until it's over, and I've never said that before about the summer holidays...what's the world coming to xD

Yeah, summer seems to be moving pretty slow for me. I think it is mainly due to the fact that my allergies start acting up in the summer. Plus, I also really hate the heat.

It went really well. I was shitting myself as well, right up until the day I went in, and it hit a crescendo the day before it started, but the weird thing was, as soon as I started the exams, all that fear and panic just melted away, and I buckled down and got the work done. I think I did pretty well.

Just make sure you study enough. (Nothing too insane. Don't do more than 4 hours a day, because you just won't remember any of it. Those teachers who say you should do 6 hours don't have a clue what they're talking about)

Also, the teachers? They build it up way too much. It's nowhere near as bad as you think it's going to be, I guarantee it. Sure, it's still tough, but it's nothing someone with even the slightest of brains can't handle with a bit of work.

And nothing, nothing beats the feeling of walking out on the last day, throwing your hands to the sky and screaming "IT'S FINALLY FUCKING OVER!"

Then you give the headmaster the V's and go home.
Hahahaha sounds like some good craic then. What subjects did you do acctually?

Apart from the standard ones, Spanish for language, History, Classical Studies and Economics. I sort of regret doing economics though, but the only other choices for that module were Art history and home economics, both of which were taught by complete bitches.
Ah a fellow history man! What was your special topic... Thing? I'm doing French and Japanese for a language(I hate languages) and music, which I haven't done up until fifth year lol.
