I've seen a game on Steam called Krater which looks like a jolly, hack 'n' slash, rpg.

Reviews of the game tend towards saying "it's okay but a bit meh" but I'd like to hear the views of illustrious, attractive, people so I immediately thought of you lot.

So, have any of you played it?
What did you you think of it?
What features/moments stood out?
Where did it fall down?
What's your favourite flavour of icecream?
Was there a man behind the grassy knoll?
What does the inside of a kangaroo's pouch smell like and, most importantly, if you purchased Krater, do you regret it?

Purchased Krater. Regretted it. Not just a bit meh, but very meh. So meh that it is almost spiritual.

There are 3 classes to choose from, each possesing only 2 abilities that never change. That's it; 6 abilites forever. Strategy involves attack moving into group of enemies and repeating the same tired key-presses you've been using for the last half hour.

The upgrade/level up system is like a 40 year old man with learning difficulties trying to land a passenger jet; you really want him to succeed but in the end failure is inevitable. The intention is good, the idea being you can add different status effects to your ability (make your AoE slow also heal your guys) but in practice is too feeble to achieve anything meaningful (AoE slow/heal only heals 0.5% of life every second for 6 seconds) but could be improved with patches.

Conclusion: Avoid.
