Let's see if I can figure out this here 'off topic' forum...
Anybody out there in Ohio? I will be running an interactive narrative/game design workshop at Context 21 in Columbus, OH this September:

Scroll waaaay down. Context is a nice little con -- lots of high profile authors show up despite the low population, so there's actually a good possibility of having a meaningful conversation with them. I was on a couple of gaming panels last year -- they're trying to expand this portion of their programming to help bridge the gap between speculative fiction communities and gaming communities, which I wholly support -- and the discussions were of very high quality, if I do say so myself. I am also usually fairly negative on Ohio (sorry, blame your highway patrol), but Columbus is a cool town.
I'll/we'll be using Inform7, which is an amazing little free interactive fiction engine, and while the workshop description emphasizes interactive narrative, I'll be primarily talking about game design and the notion of using Inform to prototype a game story/concept as an interactive pitch.
It'll be fun, I swear. 13 seats left. Get 'em while they're hot! Punch and pie.
