Anyone know anything about PayPal?

The story. I've started a PayPal account because that seems to be what most online merchants take. I tried to transfer money from my bank account on 4-28 and it said the date it would clear would be 5-3. Now, it is currently *looks at watch* 5:34PM on 5-3 and the transfer hasn't gone through yet. I called earlier and they had said it should be complete by 5:00PM.

Anyone have any suggestions? Because I'm highly impatient and about an inch from snapping.

Transfers to/from bank accounts just take time to clear, and their estimated clearance dates are just that (estimates). It's at least a little faster if you are using US accounts but very slow (10 days+) for Canadian accounts.

However, if you have a CC on file and have done a number of successful bank transfers, you usually get to the point where you can use the "instant eCheque" option. That's where they credit the merchant immediately so you get your stuff right away, even though the EFT to PayPal will take several days to clear your bank. The CC must be on file as a backup option in case the EFT fails for whatever reason, at which point PayPal would then charge the CC instead.

Got it. Apparently they were going by Western Time. Worried me here on the East Coast.
