Still watch it still brilliant, just because it moved doesn't mean its quality is going to downgrade right?

Never watched it to begin with. Only really come here for zp and the occasional forum talk.

Yes, still watching Extra Credits. It's an awesome show and though I don't keep up with it all the time I still really enjoy it.

As an indie designer, a small part of me feels as though I HAVE to keep watching, so I can take their advice, insights, and ideas to heart. However, the rest of me still watches them just because they're awesome. Long live Extra Credits!

Yes, though sometimes not as regularly as I did here. I sometimes skip a week, but I will watch both episodes the following week so it works out.

While the topic of how good the content is on Penny Arcade is a topic for another day (I'll admit to being a long-time fan of them), I still do watch Extra Credits when it comes out on Penny Arcade. I was one of those few people who didn't get the news of where Extra Credits went, but I was shocked when one day I saw it pop up on Penny Arcade.

when they left the escapist, i was hoping PATV would pick them up, they did and it was awesome. while i don't always agree with their arguments i respect them for almost always using sound judgment and reasoning. I also watch the Loading ready run show "Checkpoint" on PATV.

I kind of like the PATV flash player better than the escapist's, it has never once crashed on me as opposed to the escapist flash player that has about a 7/10 success rate.

I am. It's my favorite show on the internet, and the only one I watch weekly. I also want to continue to show support, both for what they stand for, and to support their decision in leaving the escapist, as well as their actions leading up to that.

Of course, I still watch Extra Credits. You don't have to be a regular PA visitor to catch it. You can subscribe via RSS, Facebook, or Youtube.

I used to watch them here. I really admired everything they said, word from word. However, they broke their morals when it came down to the issue with The Escapist. I thought they'd handle it much better, resolve the conflict and get back running episodes on here.

Nope.

They left... just like that. Sure, it was both parties fault.. yet I can't get over James getting lawyers first thing before even talking this out. Along those lines, I even gave them a shot on Youtube. It's not the same, so I stopped watching them. Yea, you can quote me and defend Extra Credits if you'd like but just know I felt betrayed personally. Just me though, and I know they needed money but just the way they handled that situation... it sort of reflects on how they preach in their videos. Bad impression overall.

Exactly that for me aswell, I liked them alot, I found some of their points valid..well some not so much, but they broke their own back here as they sadly showed their "real" face as soon as it came to money, really sad still, but my main point why I'm not watching them anymore.

Washing dirty laundry on a forum, knowing full well that this is going to blow up, because hell its the Internet, and than claiming that they didn't want to hurt TE is just downright lieing and you somehow have to wonder how much of their content is not just pretentious rumbling.

I just finished watching this week's episode about lazy game design. I wish the escapist could get another web-series to show on Thursdays. Some new animated show with a decent story-line. No Right Answer is cool and all but I want something I can really get invested in.
Agreed. For me, I show up on Mondays for The Jimquisition, Tuesdays for The Big Picture, Wednesdays for ZP, and Fridays for Escape to the Movies. With EC, that gave me something to look forward to every day (And pre-Jimquisition I just adopted a Garfield-esque stance on Mondays) but now...every Thursday is empty in my life.

I still watch it.

Hell, without Extra Credits, the only reason I still come to the Escapist is for News and Critical Miss comics...

Extra Credits, to me, was bigger than Yahtzee. When they decided to leave, and voiced their reasons and position, I almost left the Escapists right along with them. What they're doing is providing a good voice for gamers in a media environment that believes that games and gamers are evil violent gun happy reprehensible human beings. On top of that, being a quality lecturer for game designers every week. :)

If you're not a fan of PA, you can go to their site once, find where they upload videos, and bookmark that section. Then it's one click every week. Or follow them on youtube, and they provide the link for you.

I do, but I tend to not visit weekly and do more of a "binge" of them and CheckPoint every month or so. I just finished my Extra Credits binge and am getting back to my CheckPoint binge.

That episode was potent. It was amazing to see the Extra Credits team take the designers of Call of Juarez to task- both on matters of technical accuracy and through the scope of critical deconstruction of the game's messages to the public.

That said, the guy always sounds like he's taken a big ol' lungful of helium, which somewhat detracted from the gravitas of the show. Still, good to see that one of the most highbrow parts of the Escapist isn't afraid to take the gloves off sometimes.

Still do. I've been watching 'em since their old YouTube days years ago, and I'll continue watching as long as they keep making stuff for me to watch. I <3 those guys and I think the more discussion along those topics the better.

Nope. There's a number of reasons. But the biggest is that I'm lazy. For some reasons, PATV videos don't play right on my browser of choice. I can play them alright on my other one, but I don't want to bother with it. So I don't. I have a lot of respect for most of the EC team. But in the end there are just too many things making me decide not to watch them.

That's another reason for me. While it seems like the majority jumped on their side, I feel it was 50/50, if not tiny bit more Jame's fault for making things unclear in the first place. Not only that, but how he took care of the situation also bothered me. I don't blame Allison or Daniel as much as they seemed to be mostly on the side-lines while James took control. But since James is the one writing the episodes, that did effect my desire to actively seek them out again.
This ^ also outlines my reasons for not following EC much anymore; even if I felt like going to a site I otherwise have no interest in just to watch it, the whole debacle that caused them to leave the site in the first place seemed...off, to me.

Plus I guess I wasn't terribly attached to the show; EC had its high points, of course, but my life doesn't feel empty now that I don't watch it, so it's hard to motivate myself to go the extra mile to find it elsewhere.
