I was looking at ways to display my 360 on my PC monitor, and I came across this. I was wondering if anyone here has used one, knows of someone who uses one, or just knows about them.

If so, do they work well? Anything extra I'd need to know/have?

Thanks in advance!

They work decently enough, but you're going to need an additional cable to get your audio since your PC monitor doesn't have any sound output capabilities. Honestly, I never understood why people want to play a console on a small PC monitor, but that's just me.

Why would you not want to play console games on the monitor? Sure, there's the big console-text, but computer monitors are HD. 1080p monitors are almost default now, if not sub-par.

Yeah, I already have the stuff to connect it to my speakers. Thanks.

I want to use it on my PC monitor for a little privacy (getting snide comments playing in a more public room), and it will look much better on my PC monitor than on the TV I have it on now.

Cuz my monitor is only 17" and my HDTV is 42"?

Available space and money. I don't own a television so playing consoles on the pc monitor is the only option.
The picture quality on a 21inch TV would be no better than my Pc and I can't afford a bigger one, so why waste money?

Yes they work.

But what if someone doesn't have a 42" HDTV? They might have a measly 17" monitor, but it probably still displays HD, and probably cost less than $100. It's cheap, HD, and easy to find.

Dude...that's achieved using accompanying hardware and software, it even says so right on the page. That monitor will do nothing at all for a console hooked up to it.

When I was a Beta tester, we'd use monitors for 360 games, and they always look crisp, and clean. We were asked to test different resolutions. I mean yeah we had a few HDTVs on the floor for testing purposes, but monitors are simply more adaptable and more cost effective. Also monitors have MUCH better response times if you're a competitive gamer.

Microsoft sells a VGA output cable, and it's guaranteed to work better then most 3rd party switchers/conversion boxes.
