Yeah, these sales aren't great.Saelune said:Im wondering if I should wait for the Winter Sale, cause I dont know if the sales will be better then. Alot of these sales are 50% or lower.
I dont have tons of cash to spend, and wont until after the holidays anyways.
Most of the high sales are for already cheap games.
I think maybe the Winter Sale will be better, maybe. I dont see the need for this weird pre-Winter Sale.Dirty Hipsters said:Yeah, these sales aren't great.Saelune said:Im wondering if I should wait for the Winter Sale, cause I dont know if the sales will be better then. It used to be that it wasn't a real steam sale unless everything you wanted was 75% off.
I only have one game I want that's 75% off right now, most of the others are 50% or even a laughable 33%.
Tis a sad time.

You guys probably read my comment, but I'll expand a bit. Note that I strongly recommend the game (especially at how cheap it is) and think it's an underrated gem in the mud, the game can be frustratingly difficult and opaque. The narrative is exceptional, and the game mechanics while frustrating at times are highly interesting and unique, but the game makes you work for everything. Don't be ashamed if you have to consult a guide quickly while learning.distortedreality said:Same.
I'd never heard of it before, but after reading the synopsis and some reviews, it's made it into my cart. Sounds very intriguing.
Could be but I went bananas. My only hope is my wife never ever for any reason whatsoever finds out what I've done. There will be no counseling or trial separation but straight to divorce if she doesn't kill me firstSaelune said:I think maybe the Winter Sale will be better, maybe. You can get both on Steam for roughly the same price atm - although all the JC3 DLC will set you back a bit extra from the looks of it.Bob_McMillan said:Thinking about buying Witcher 3 and Just Cause 3, both with season passes, for less than 50 bucks.
Problem is, I am moving to PC soon, so I'm wondering if its worth it.
Steam has the Witcher 3 GOTY for $30. A good deal. I grabbed it.Bob_McMillan said:Thinking about buying Witcher 3 and Just Cause 3, both with season passes, for less than 50 bucks.

I considered getting more Hyperdimension games myself but I've barely scratched Re:Birth1 and I've told myself many times to quit buying games just to round out a series that I haven't even finished one game in... I'm bad about that.Weaver said:I kinda want to pick up Megadimension Neptunia at 60% off, but I still haven't finished Re;Birth 3 and probably won't by time Christmas rolls around so if the Christmas sale has it as deep off or more then i'll feel smart lol
Playing the older Fallout games are a bit of a chore these days, I have fond memories of them, but reality is none too kind to my nostalgia and whenever I fire up Fallout 2 I never make it past the prologue dungeon anymore.09philj said:Fallout 1 & 2 are in a cheap bundle. For Just Cause I'm not sure it really matters, but The Witcher is definitely a superior game on PC, I wouldn't worry too much though, both those games will be on sale a lot (I know JC3 is fairly new but if JC2 is any indication, it goes on sale ALL the time)Gorfias said:Steam has the Witcher 3 GOTY for $30. I didn't know about Just Cause 3. Uh Oh. My wallet is crying out in pain.
Got JC2 and figure, be satisfied with it for now. Agree with you about Witcher 3: toss up to the prettiest game I've seen to date. W3 or Rise of the Tomb Raider. Got em both. Now the tricky part: finding time to play them.aozgolo said:For Just Cause I'm not sure it really matters, but The Witcher is definitely a superior game on PC, I wouldn't worry too much though, both those games will be on sale a lot (I know JC3 is fairly new but if JC2 is any indication, it goes on sale ALL the time)
The Fallout 2 prologue is horrible. If you don't have a build with good melee skills it's essentially impossible. Fallout 1 is better, although I'm not a huge fan of the combination of lack of clear objectives and time limit.aozgolo said:Playing the older Fallout games are a bit of a chore these days, I have fond memories of them, but reality is none too kind to my nostalgia and whenever I fire up Fallout 2 I never make it past the prologue dungeon anymore.09philj said:Fallout 1 & 2 are in a cheap bundle. I wanna play through them but...that time limit in 1 is intimidating, and the game is really hard. I was expecting something more Baldur's Gate than it is.09philj said:The Fallout 2 prologue is horrible. If you don't have a build with good melee skills it's essentially impossible. I also bought Deus Ex and Thief 2 today. Not played much of either yet. The framerate on Deus Ex tanks whenever there's any water, which is odd.
