APB closed Beta

Just got my invote for the closed beta from gamefirst.


Anyone else get this? I thought the game tanked ages ago with no sign of refund or redress.

It was bought by the Chinese F2P company K2 network, under the name APBReloaded.

yes, it "tanked" as you say, but some of us reckoned it was going to be a good game.

Closed beta starts soon, with re-release in the not too distant future.

I was enjoying playing it before i went on holiday september last year, and when i got back it was a dead link. If it is going to be free to play then how will they make it pay? That makes no sense at all. I wanted to know if my play credits would be given back to me on the relaunch, but the "free to play" thing another poster mentioned throws up another whole set of questions...I'm too busy playing dc universe online to take on another pay to play.

Expect nothing that you made to be in the re-launch. In and official interview (again, pseudoquoted) they said that there will be the POSSIBILITY to retrieve characters from the original. They haven't said much more.

They'll be making their money by offering you extra aspects of gameplay and customization for a price. I think its mainly artwork limits aaaand... clan making that they'll charge you for.
