You start as an albino rat, in a box with a button, a door, an automated dispenser, a screen saying "3", a camera.

As you press the button 3 times the screen counts down to 0, causing the dispenser to deposit food each time, awarding XP, and on 0 a choice of hats, each with their own stat boosts.

The last piece of food-accompanying XP brings you to Level 1, prevents the button from working any more, and allows the door to open for you, leading to more levels where the objective is always to press a button and make food come out of the dispenser.

Further exploring the giant rat-maze/skinner box network would allow you to get fur dyes, contact lenses, little paw-boots, eye wear, little coat/jacket things, cutie marks, and various cybernetic upgrades, prosthetics, augmentations and protrusions.

First cybernetic upgrade would include a device allowing you to see achievements and data on your progress.

Although various quests would be given out, they would only award XP by allowing you access to food-buttons, either by opening doors or leading to cybernetic augmentations to help you reach such buttons.
