That thing needs one and only one feature to hav eme running down the street fumbling for my bank card...
... the ability to be connected to a Mac (or PC if we're being greedy) and then used as a direct to screen graphics pad.
If they or someone else introduces that feature, then they've undercut the nearest competitor by a full £1000 assuming you buy the most expensive iPad, even more for the cheaper models. Although I assume they're using the same screen tech as the iPod touch, which would be a bit of a hurdle as it's crap with a stylus, I'm sure Wacom or others could come up with a peripheral specially for it.
Maybe not the best general use tool Apple's come up with, but as a serious tool for serious business I reckon they're onto a winner here. Now to watch the IFX forums for the first iPad graphics applications...
