I've had a killer game idea that I want to make real and my brother works for a developer so you'd think I'd automatically have an "in" there right? Wrong! Being a lowly 3D artist and animator he still has some contact with the guys the make the decisions but he said that their companys budget is tighter than a duck's arsehole and they already have their next three projects mapped out over the next couple of years. What makes things tough is even if his boss said "great idea, let's roll with it" they then have to go to a more well known publisher to get them to back it, so the number of hoops you have to jump through grows exponentially.
That said my bro did say that if you present them with a script, artwork, etc you have a slight chance of getting things happening. His advice, learn C++ and either get a job coding games at an established company (because C++ programers are always needed) or start your own company - which is what I think he eventually wants to do.

the problem is i cant code
seriously code illeterate

im very good at writing scripts,
i have spoken to about 3 people about this and they love it.
and since this is a horror/adventure game im trying to make it a very cinemtaic game.I have emailed two companies in my local area.one made the jackass game. so i either have to find people who can code in c++ or just try and find a company who can help me make it.

It's a tough one. A smaller company will probably be more open to your ideas, but they usually have to answer to a big company. If you go to one of the big companys (e.g Blizzard) you may not even get past the front door.
Word of advice, be very careful who you show your idea to. My bro says they live and die by NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) in the industry as there a lot of people out there that will shoot your idea down, send you away and then take it to someone else and get it made.

Well if you can afford to fly yourself over the pond there are quite a few here in Australia (Victorian and Queensland being the most prolific). Both THQ and Atari have offices in Melbourne and I think 2K have an office on the Gold Coast. Plus there are plenty of smaller developers to float your ideas to.
