Whether or not you've heard, some of the Southeast has been hit by some very serious tornados.

I amn in Alabama and my boyfriend's grandma lived in one of the very towns the tornado destroyed. Thankfully her house was mostly intact.
However, a lot of places in Alabama were destroyed. Tuscaloosa, the city in which the University of Alabama lies, was flatted on the main streets and many people were killed.

The tornado that did most of the real damage was an EF5 that traveled for over 100 miles across the state. These things rarely happening and unfortunately, a lot of people were unprepared.

Here's a video of Barack visiting Alabama. I didn't really care that he came, but the video does show you some of the intense damage. I actually know the street he's walking down, and yesterday it was covered with bits of trees and houses.

My heart goes out to those that have lost their houses and loved ones. The search still continues and so does clean up.

I thought this was worth sharing.

Yeah I heard about this on the BBC. It kinda bugged me that this, alongside a bomb in Marakesh on the same day, was only on after about 20 min of Royal Wedding stuff. I mean I know it's a huge deal for our country, but it was almost like 'In other news, foreigners die somewhere. We'll just pretend to care for a few minutes before going back.' which I really didn't think was like us.

Mind you, although I have huge sympathy for anyone whose been affected by this. I wonder if they'll be any Japanese people on Facebook talking about this as God's revenge for Hiroshima? Just sayin'
