I think it's brave that they're not scared of trying to be the most mediocre as they can be.

It'll be lucky to even match Fantastic 4's "EH" rating.

I think it's funny that there's more buzz around an Aquaman movie than a Wonder Woman movie. She's supposed to be one of DC's "Trinity" of heroes, with Batman and Superman, but it seems like Green Lantern, Flash and now Aquaman are closer to getting their own movies...

Yes, Aquaman is limited. In the water, he's basically god, on land he's...

Well, he's basically Golden Age Superman on land, actually. It's only for a little while at a time (an hour or so, if I remember some continuity right), but otherwise, he's still got a much, much larger range than, say, Spiderman.

Dear god, WHY?! Aquaman is the single worst hero in existence. The LITTLE MERMAID was more effective!

A lot of misconceptions about Aquaman out there. While there are other heroes I'd rather see (Martian Manhunter), I think an Aquaman film has the potential to be awesome. Don't make it a parody, play it straight. It has all the makings of an action classic, magic from Atlantis, high seas piracy, giant sea creatures... Then there's the central drama of Aquaman's family life.

Personally, I think DC should do a reverse of what Marvel has done. Put out a Justice League film and then spin-off. Or they could start introducing less well known characters as background in other films like Superman.

All there is to it. LOL
That is so...Sad.

And how to do this good then? All his powers are only good in the water right? Will it take place in the sea then?

All I can say is, there better be an H. P. Lovecraft crossover.
Remember, he can command the creatures of the deeps.
he had his hand bitoff by piranhas (which he replaced with a spear)

Which was fixed when his dead body was used by the Black Lanterns. Now, he can summon dead sea-life which have a tendency to rip whatever they're called on apart. Those pirates never stood a chance.

Hes still Super strong on land ya know, regardless very few people will want to see an Aquaman movie.

Did anyone see the Mercy Reef Pilot episode? I liked it.

Though I would much prefer a Green Arrow movie I would still watch it. As said before though he is optimal in water he's still pretty good off water.
Still would prefer Green Arrow...

Like MovieBob says, you can make a good movie out of anything. It's just a question of if they can.

It would be funny if they give him the role and if the movie sucks, because in Entourage it was a huge hit if I remember correctly.

He just reminds me of South Park's Seaman and Swallow and I can't take that seriously.
I would watch it though.

If people bothered to ever look at Aquaman beyond the seriously out of date jokes they'll find he's actually a badass. He's basically Batman of the sea with near Superman levels of strength.

The pilot was pretty damn awesome too, I'd have happily watched it and I just couldn't get into the Smallville thing.

Indeed, but only with James Cameron directing. A2 just wasn't the same without them.

Honestly I always though Aquaman would be a better villain than superhero. He could call up horrors from the deep and mass an army sharks to punish humans for polluting the sea.
His cause would be just which why he would be an interesting villain.

As a hero the power to bring great destruction is useless and thus so is he.

Like Superman you mean?

If they based the film solely in Atlantis it could quite easily be a deep and interesting film of a deposed kings battle to return to the throne or something.
