I know what you mean, when I got to senior year, the freshman were freaking munchkins. I found it hard to believe we were that small. Well, I wasn't, I know that much.

People are actually supposed to be getting taller. I know the feeling of seeing those little midgets scurry around confusedly, but they're normal height for that age (apparently).

People are getting taller, because of better food, and all that such, it means we have more nutrients and protein and such to grow.

So...Meh? There just small.

ALSO, yes, 6'4" is tall, stop complaining. xD People are getting bigger.

Also, word what you say better, it is hard to understand.

Ok i have no idea what you just said...

But yes people from other lower grade classes do seem smaller, but i think thats just cos you got bigger. I remember the first time i saw a 7th grader when i was a senior...they looked like kindergardeners.
Exactly.

I am not particularly tall but when I was in school in my last year the new kids looked tiny to me as well.

The same way when you hit 18 anyone below 18 will seem like a moron. Then when you hit 21 anyone below 21 will seem like a moron. It will go on until you are 70 and won't shut up about 'those damn kids'.

It's not just studies, if you ever go to old towns in England (and probably the rest of the UK and Europe too) you can really appreciate how much people have grown over the past 500 years or so.

I used to live in Canterbury and there were quite a few old buildings in which I had to stoop down to walk in through the doorway, and one pub in particular in which I was constantly bumping my head on the beams, and I'm only 6ft.

I'm the antithesis to your theory, OP. My parents are 5'4" and 5'5", and yet I am 6' 3". While I have seen a few short people in grade 7 I dont think the average is going down, I think its going up.

No, you're just mis-remembering.

You were that short, but you were all roughly the same height so you didn't notice. Think about it, in year 7 some of the older kids were really fecking tall weren't they.

Also, science says we are getting taller.
