Title says it all, are there any games that blends several genres and does it extremely good? I haven't come up with one yet. Well, except Duke Nukem Forever.

System Shock & Deux Ex for blending FPS and RPG, paving the way for games like Bioshock and to some degree Fallout 3.

The Thief series for creating a mix of FPS and melee-combat with a focus on stealth.

Ico and Shadow of the Collosus, for being so hard to define, genre-wise.

Assassin's creed for blending free-running with fighting much better than ME (which just concentrated on the running) as well as a dash of open world to taste (I didn't mention stealth because they didn't do that one so well).

What about games that really have no genre like:

Recently, DoW 2.
That was just RTS.

I don't really think games can stay genre defying for long. People organise and categorise, it's what we do.
