For those who don't know what synesthesia is, read this. [link]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synethesia[/link]
It basically links two or more senses together. It sounds like it can be pretty cool to me. One guy I read of tasted cornbread every time he heard the name "John". So, Escapist, are any of you synesthetes?[sub]I assume there must be, as it affects 1 in 23 people.[/sub]
Edit: I don't know if this is it, but sometimes I see myself walking in a random place in my mind's eye.

Is this the same as relating things to eachother? For example, a certain smell may remind me of a certain place or memory?
Or am I way out?

Yes. For instance, whenever I think of Assassin's Creed I remember the taste of M&Ms. Because I ate a shitload of M&Ms when I watched the first trailer way back before the game was released.

Err...

I dunno. I always say that perfume smells the way wine tastes.

[small]I don't understand it either![/small]

Yes, that's what it is.

Kind of.

When someone blares music really loud everything I see takes on a kind of... hue depending on the genre, it's weird to explain and it would probably suck if I tried

I think that's more just association. It would be more like a certain smell would make some kind of taste in your mouth, or you might see some color.

Edit: OT: I don't think I have it, but I'm not sure. One thing I'm not sure about is that whenever I get a strong headrush I see a sort-of cloud of dark purple/blue/black that basically renders me blind for a few seconds.
