I don't think stupid people exist, rather that there are just a lot of ignorant people on the one side and a few knowledgeable people on the other.
An example would be I had a problem with a DAW program called Reaper and posted in the forums. The first reply suggested that defragging might be the issue - that the program got 'confused' when defragging. This made sense to me since I had literally defragged the day before the program stopped working. Every other reply since that post has said that defragging was most definitely not the issue and one guy made a comment that defragging was as likely to cause problems as wearing tin foil hats.
I don't think I'm stupid, I know stuff. Though to a bunch of people on that forum (who apparently know a lot about the inner workings of the computer), that comment was quite stupid.
