I walked into a public toilet once... The floor was literally covered in shit. From that day on I've only used one public toilet, and that's a very specific one in my University.

Yes, but I generally don't need to. The only time I usually need to go in a public place is after a movie, and that's just to pee.

Yes, when I have to go, I will go, but I do wipe down the seat before I use it. It's really not a big deal :\

I shower when I get home, I don't eat food off areas of my body that come into contact with seat and I always wipe it.

I remember once I was so desperate that I had to go and my only choice was a public restroom. That was back when I had a crippling fear. The floor was gross and I wouldn't dare sit on the seat given it's horrible condition. So, you know how the stalls have two walls on each side? Well it was enough space so I could put both my legs and arms on them and hover on top of the toilet seat. Let's just say that is the most interesting poo I've ever had.

Now, my fear of public restrooms is not that bad...

i can usually 'hold it in' long enough to get back home; in very critical situations ive resorted to the public bathroom, but renting out a private porta-potty when we go camping has desensitized me to disgusting bathrooms. trust me, private or not, have the neighborhood goes camping with us, and we all eat junkfood and fish. i have had a great respect and admiration for sewage and septic workers ever since they blessed me by cleaning out that stink-tube every morning.
