I want to import Rock Band because I'm sick of waiting, but I don't want to spend $200 on a game that won't work.

So are PC games, you can't exactly "region encode" a PC when so many people can build one themselves.HalfShadow said:Games have always been region-encoded, specifically to stop importing.
PS3 is region-free? Not that I care, but I thought only handhelds were region-free.
Will do wilsoncrzybed. Thanks for the heads-up. Though, if you don't mind me running this by you, if I buy a region-free US game, would that mean it works in my PAL (Australian) Xbox 360? Would I be able to play this [http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dh-77-4-49-en-15-call+of+duty+4-70-23dk.html], is what I mean.wilsonscrazybed said:stompy, some games are region locked; such as Take2 games. Some others are not. It depends on the distributor's policies. Playasia does have a great list of games and their regions. Also keep in mind that Asia uses NTSC, and AUS/UK uses PAL, this can keep you from playing games in different regions also without specific region coding.
Thanks for the heads-up. Both heads-up.wtftrauma said:Yes Stompy, That COD4 will run fine on your PAL xbox 360.
