Hypocrisy and double standards offend me.

"I'm black, therefore I can't be racist" is a phrase that was once said to me, after I accused someone of being racist based on them calling me bird shit and cum skin.

I then got into a fight with him, and (this was in my school days) got in trouble and called a racist by the Principal/Head Teacher, even though I uttered no racial slur. I also add he got an apology from her. She tried to force me to apologize too, I told her to go fuck herself.

Stupid old *****...

I don't really say anything about it, but everything involving calling people a jew, or this one girl saying, "I'd kill myself if I was Jewish." Because some of my extended family is Jewish, and people who act like it's bad are clearly and stupidly misinformed.

I also get offended by people calling Muslims towel heads, or saying that everyone of middle eastern descent is a terrorist. I'm not sure why this is exactly because I have no Muslim or middle eastern friends or family. I guess it's more of I hate the stupidity of people.

Besides that, no I'm not.

I actually own that shirt though I never wear it out. Really it's a little offensive to the jewish people I know and my grandad would hate it.
Yup, it is horribly offensive.
And horribly funny.

OT: I wouldn't say I'm easily offended, but I get pissed off a lot.

I would say I wasn't actually "offendable", but then I thought about it and realised that I find religion pretty offensive, so I guess the first thing isn't true.

I am offended if insults are directed at me or someone I care about for no reason.

If they can give a valid reason for their insult, then I'll take it. If they can't, then I take offence to it.

The only thing that I know offends me is any outright hate towards the GLBT community. I don't mind gay jokes or the occasional stereotype, but if your hating than I'm going to have to respond.

I never go for political correctness. It's pointless to act like something I'm not. Things only offend me when the person is just in general a completely ignorant person who is only doing it for attention. Otherwise, it's easy to just ignore it, and never think of them again.

Yes and No. Really, the only thing that offends me is bragging or talking about deliberate animal cruelty (perpetrated by the speaker), but I do get easily fired up and argumentative around religious/sexual preference/political discussions, especially when I'm confronted by a close-minded fool who spouts bible verses as though they're fact.

That said, political correctness can kiss my rosy-red arse cheeks. I barely understand my own feelings at the best of times, yet I'm supposed to be sensitive to the specific idiocity of over 6 billion people all the time? Fuck off, I'm busy, and unless I know you well, there's a really, really good chance I just don't care how you feel.

Final thought: Being offended by something is a choice, and not a sub-conscious one. Any first-year psychology student could tell ya that. If ya choose to be offended, then you're not going to get any empathy or sympathy from me. Build a bridge and all that.

"Are you easily offended?"

Hey, what's that's supposed to mean huh? You have some problem with me? Come over here and let me solve that problem for you...

In all seriousness, no I'm not easily offended. There are some things that can piss me off, but they are few and far between. I generally am not going to be offended by things especially if they are meant to be a joke. I figure if you can't laugh at yourself, you're talking yourself too seriously.

I hate being ganged up against, waaaaaaaay more then most people. Damn you bad childhood experiences. Even if its on something mild I tend to not fare so well. But besides that I can think of things that make me mad but not really offended. I agree with Steve Hughes on this one.

No. I never get offended. Make fun of me, laugh at me, all that stuff doesn't bother me. Most of the time I'll make fun and laugh at myself for obvious flaws/stupid mistakes.

I think everyone should do that, learn to laugh at themselves.

Me easily offended? Not really. It just depends on how I'm feeling at that moment and what the person is saying. Most of the time, I don't let things like that bother me.
