As it turns out the option for a fantasy draft in online franchise is being taken OUT of the game when the new Madden is released tonight. Does this make any sense? Fantasy drafts are one of the most fun features in the game, can someone explain to me why EA thought it was a fabulous idea to take a feature OUT of a new game that already changes only a little every year?

Hell I hope thats the case, as retarded as that is, screw it, they win. Franchise and fantasy drafts is a major draw to this game for me.

Do you have a source for this? Not that I don't believe you (Packers fan...*Insert Clint Eastwood's "western" glare [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.385599-Poll-Sports-whats-your-opinion#15337347]) but if this is indeed the case I may have to take back that pre-order. My group of friends skipped 12 due to the franchise mode not changing in any way, shape, or form and the entire basis of my pre-order is due to the overhauled online franchise mode that they have claimed is coming.

I've got a buddy who has the "Season Pass" (which means he gets access to the game three days early).

I will ask him to try a fantasy draft and when he gets back from the gym, he will let me know what happens.

On the plus side, he did say this (text message word for word):

"I dunno about the fantasy draft. But yes it is tits, legit salary cap, scouting during the season, player progression thru exp earned by performance, storylines, better game engine, smarter defense. Free agents have to be attracted, trade logic is solid if not overtly difficult. This game is tits"

I will update this once he tells me if fantasy draft is in or not

Update: He is unable to find the fantasy draft option so it is most likely gone
