In a sense, who I am on the Escapist is not who I am in real life. 'Atvomat_Nikonov' is just an way for me to release some cynicism and other bad things I dont express a lot. I do retain some of my real life features, for example I dont post alot and tend to 'listen in on' other peoples debates and opinions.

Well 'Nivag' is my name backwards and I'm totally a viking. So yeah, I'd say my profile is who I am.

For the most part I'm the same. Oddly enough, I'm a much bigger jerk in real life. I'm nicer to people I don't know.

I'n actually a Program made by the goverment to monitor society using almost all internet technology therefore i am UNKNOWN and INCOGNITO

just check my escapist space everything is ACCESS DENIED

so if you are to become a useless form of society e.g. a troll then i hack into your computer and arrange a accident for you so called "untimely demise"

trying to get rid of me is useless since i'm am simply a program

to make this post seem more human i will insert internet language

Question is if only a fraction of you lends it's personality to the tposting style, or that you can honestly say that you feel you are 100 % yourself.

Well, I'm being myself. But if someone was, say, 50% himself when posting, then only that half would be answering to the question. There's no part of anyone engaged in this discussion that's not 100% itself and therefore honest when answering yes.

At least according to my theories on consciousness.

By the way it's "its". "It's" is short for "It is".

I'm not a Blind Prophet, that'd be silly. Hah.

Yeah, i'm actually the Supreme Overlord of New Atlantis. Wouldn't fit for a name, though, so I went with one of my lesser titles.

My username is not from Might and Magic ¬_¬
I was using it for several months before I'd even heard of that title.

Mostly my internet self and my real life self are more or less the same. Although I obviously get more thinking time online, and sometimes I'm more cynical. I definitely swear less online as well.

I apologize for my gramatical error. There is always room for improvement.

Granted, but suppose it is not the fraction that is in control, but perhaps a "full" personality that is blatantly "lying" in the sense that he is presenting a self other than what he is. I am not talking about writing "I am a plumber" when the poster is in fact president of the United States, but for an example pretending to be dumber than one really is, with the intention to fit better in. Perhaps refusing to look at and respond intellectually to, let's say, a philosophical question, even though your actual persona has already read it, thought about it, and constructed a relevant answer.
I hope that made sense. My question is this then: What if we consciously choose to pretend we're something else? Is the actor that plays MacBeth, actually MacBeth?
