A while ago, I accidentally changed the preferred program to unzip downloads to iTunes. Don't ask me how, I don't particularly know. However, I cannot reverse it. Every download is now an iTunes file, meaning I cannot get into them. Now, I consider myself reasonably tech-savvy, but this has me stumped, and it's pissing me right off. Help please?

You can set file associations in Default Programs, in the control panel if you using an older version of windows. If newer it should be in your start panel.

*Unless thats a setting within ITunes... If thats the case then I can't help ya.

iTunes file? What is the extension? If you mean you set the default progam that opens .zip files to iTunes, you can right click and choose "Open with..." and pick some other program. Although I thought windows can unzip files by itself... If you changed the file extension somehow, you can just change it back. Windows will yell at you about "You'll make it unstable and unreadable!" but the download changed it, so you can change it back.

or simplier, left click on your file, click on "open with", choose winzip (or any other sofware you have to unzip) and be sure that the box that say " always open that type of file with this software" is checked...
