Good ol' Roosevelt.

Not only did he revolutionize a bunch of American beliefs that I know surprisingly little about, but he also spurted out scarily accurate quotes.

Here's one of the more lucrative ones:
"There is nothing to fear but fear itself."
WAIT! Hold on Frankie! Nothing to fear? Seriously?

What do you guys fear?

Um...think you could make a thread with a title that's even remotely related to the topic?

But spiders

I second this.

On topic: scary stuff scares me. And by that, I mean that I don't have any crippling phobias, but stuff "in the moment" would scare me.

I'm intrigued...I assume this is related to Escapism?

OT: Heights, small spaces, speed, insects, anything really.

food.

it's a curious paranoia that is an extension of an allergy to a really common ingredient. as a consequence, i am nervous about eating foods that i have not had before.

All will be revealed tomorrow, or whenever Sky yells at me to make a coverage thread.

Heights for me. I can't even stand on one of these without holding on to someone or something:

I somehow like scary tall rides at amusement parks, though.

Bugs. D: Horribly, horribly terrified of bugs of all shapes and sizes. There's only a few I can actually stand, being:

Butterflies (but not moths)
Caterpillars
Ladybugs
Lightning bugs / Fireflies
Inchworms

And of those five, I can only stand them if they are outside, I notice them first, and I come to them, and they make no sudden movements. If the bug is not on that list, or doesn't keep to all those requirements, I'll scream like a banshee and run away from wherever I am. Seriously, even the dead ones scare me, just as much as the live ones do.

I'm also afraid of being on a boat, though I'm not afraid of being in the ocean. Told my lifemate's father that once, and all he had to say was "Wow...a true phobia." because it is completely, totally, and moronically irrational.

Also, thunderstorms. Holybuhjeebus, thunderstorms, especially forked lightning and really, really loud thunderclaps. More the thunder than the lightning, actually...
