Almost all of us know people that are against videogames. Disaproving parents, old-school friends, etc., all saying normally stupid and misinformed opinions. Of course, we can also make stupid and ignorant arguments, that can truly fuck up your point, and give even more arguments to them.

My "never, ever use this argument" is the "but there are people that spend more time playing than me, so don´t call me an addict", because not only they continue thinking that you are an "addict", but now they see games as a evil force, capable of tying people forever and ruining their lifes. My mom got that ideia when I was 16, and it took 4 years to take that ideia out of her. I really fucked up with that argument.

So, what´s your "if you saythis you´re fucked" argument?

Its just binary! Doesnt matter if you can simulate raping people in this game because in the end, its just 1's and 0's. Its not a you're fucked arguement to your parents. Its a you're fuxed arguement on a gaming website, I mean comeon. It doesnt even hold up against other gamers.

I'd say that the "games is art" is no argument to defend gaming. Gaming is partially art, sometimes. But by no means, art is by no means perfect. It's the imperfections that make it unique.
