Well I just had an argument with a couple of guys on facebook about the police in Australia. One of the guys said that the police are gay and we'd be better off without them. I replied by saying "Nothing wrong with the police unless you're doing something wrong or they're bored. ********* people aren't all dogs either, just because the fans of a team are it doesn't make the whole population." and "Are you saying that the world would be better without the police? Go live somewhere with no or very little and you will think they are good. If you make it back alive..."
The only reply I got to that was "You're a ******!"

These guys are only a year or two younger than me and they cannot come up with something to base their argument by. I got so annoyed at them saying the same thing over and over without any valid reason that I proclaimed myself the winner of the argument and left.

Have any of you ever been in an argument like this before?

Yes, many many many times, It bugs me so much people think they have or are winning an argument simply by insulting me, and their insults are repetitive and highly irritating.

They're kids so what do you expect? They probably think it's 'gangsta' to hate the police.

I constantly argue with my brothers, who lose pretty quickly.. but try to save face... and I end up getting them to say something that is contradictory to a previous statement! Also, for an internet argument... one person was insulting my girlfriend over her favourite band, and saying a whole bunch of other, shortsighted and untrue stuff.... In a long tirade, I disproved everything she said, while applying subtle insults... I received no reply, and she stopped insulting people!

Never had the problem of people dismissing my arguments saying I'm gay, no.

All the time. It's really annoying.
I once asked why someone was bullying me. He said because I was a prick. I then asked how and he responded with "You just are".

Yes and it seems like even when the arguer uses some cop out childish saying like that, I somehow end up wrong even though i am right... it sucks...
