Looks great! I love the atmosphere of AA1 and this, I can't wait. I think they would have to try pretty hard to make this a bad game if the start from the first.
Hmm. While the economics of the gaming industry obviously demand a sequel, am I alone in thinking Arkham Asylum doesn't really need one? I think it works very well as a self-contained game.
If they can improve boss fights, I'd be ecstatic. If not, I'll still be happy.
Edit: I also highly recommend reading the graphic novel Batman: Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth. It's absolutely fantastic, and it describes a unique relationship between Batman and the Asylum.

Well, I'm already convinced that the gameplay will be fine since the developer hasn't changed... and the fact that the setting has shifted into the city without sacrificing the asylum environment and atmosphere means we have a legitimate reason for the appearance of more of the iconic baddies of the franchise without turning the game into a sandbox. I say bring it on!
This has some promise to being an awesome game going off the major success of the first Arkham Asylum.
