To everyone who complained about the name "Arkham Asylum 2," I laugh at you. Of course it wasn't going to be called that or take place in the same locations. Been arguing that since the announcement, glad to be validated.

Theyre not trying a co-op thing with catwoman are they? Cause thatd be very odd.
Odd as in a unique and unexpected choice, yes. But I think that'd be awesome. For several reasons:
1. Co-op with Robin would just be two Batmen fighting. They'd have essentially the same moves and gadgets. But Catwoman would have an excuse to be completely unique. More kicks, less punches. Less range on her grappling hook (because it's a whip), but better use of it in combat.
2. Catwoman rocks. And with a decent writer, like Paul Dini (who wrote the first game), who really gets the Batman/Catwoman dynamic, I want as much dialog as possible.
3. Video games need more female leads.
Unfortunately, this is probably all a mute point. I sincerely doubt there will be any multiplayer whatsoever in this game and I'm not sure how co-op would work. Now, a chase an AI Catwoman across rooftops mission will be there, I guarantee it. Also, I'm guessing there will be a co-op mission of sorts, where you and Catwoman are in view of each other but physically separated and have to cover each other.

I'm so happy about this game, I loved the first arkham but I do think perhaps they are rushing this game too soon I'd perfer a well done and different game to a rushed clone.
What's wrong with the same game in new locations? I spent hours playing the challenge maps, if they just released a pack of those, I'd be really happy. Keep the graphic engine, develop a few new gadgets, but keep most of the game mechanics, and build new levels. Boom, game is done. Hire some decent actors, like, I don't know, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, and there you go, a worthy contender for Game of the Year in few months. I see no need to reinvent the wheel on this.
